Facilities

• Grooming Area
  The grooming area has 30 square feet per student and will accommodate ten students. Each station is equipped with a Clipper Vac, hydraulic table and all of the most modern grooming equipment. This is where our students actually work on pets under close supervision of our certified instructors. The Pennsylvania Academy of Grooming operates a grooming salon which is open to the public allowing the students to learn on a wide variety of dog and cat breeds. Students are taught to groom according to A.K.C. Standards or the desires of the pet owner. Students who select the Master's All Breed Grooming Program will be taught how to deal with the public and will participate in all areas of dealing with customers.
  
  
• Bathing/Drying Area
  We have a separate room for bathing and drying. This room is equipped with walkup ramp tubs, stationary tubs, cage dryers and Quiet Force Dryers.
  
  
  
  
• Classroom & Library
  The classroom is equipped with tables and chairs for studying, audio visual aids, chalkboards and much more. This is where students will be taught all class work. The library is equipped with a wide variety of up-to-date books and videos related to the pet industry. (One room accommodates the Classroom and Library.)
  
  
• Lunchroom
  The lunchroom is equipped with tables and chairs, refrigerator (with ice and water on door), microwave, and a soda & snack machine. The school is also minutes away from numerous fast food restaurants.
  
  


• Retail Area
  The school has a large retail area which is open to the public. We feel all students will benefit by being exposed to other business opportunities they may want to branch into. However, students selecting the Master All Breed Grooming Program will become involved in this area as part of their training.
  
  


• Scrub-A-Pup
  This is our own public pet wash. The Pennsylvania Academy of Grooming is proud to have the first public pet wash of its kind on the school grounds! Again, this type of exposure broadens the student's perspective of unlimited possibilities that await a well-trained groomer. We also feel that the student will "catch" a certain attitude that exists at the Pennsylvania Academy of Pet Grooming. We encourage our students to examine the possibilities and use their creativity to expand this industry that is in it's infancy. The possibilities are unlimited.
  
  
• Clipper Vac Factory
  Marlene Romani, Executive Chief Officer, is the manufacturer of one of the most advanced pieces of grooming equipment within our industry. The Clipper Vac is a vacuum that attaches to your clippers and instantly removes hair, dander and particulate that groomers are exposed to. This provides a safer and healthier environment for our students plus the advantage of learning on the most advanced state of the art equipment available within our industry. Also, manufactured at this location is the first Quiet Force Dryer on the market. This is the most efficient, modern way to force dry and is taught at the Pennsylvania Academy of Pet Grooming! In addition, we design and manufacture professional work stations, grooming supply storage cabinets, snap on combs and coin operated pet washes.
